Lord, Lord

It is sometimes disturbing how asleep so many are in the churches. Anesthetized. Drugged. Spellbound. Compromised. I will just go ahead and say it - those who call themselves "Christians" and who still support “pro choice” candidates for election. (How do you spell cognitive dissonance?)

There are implications to the Gospel! It is not just about “grace" - although that can never be marginalized. What I mean is that grace is not simply "fire insurance" because you make a mental assent to Jesus Christ. It implies being delivered out of the darkness and spiritual blindness of the prince of this world, and set free into the service of the infinitely loving Most High God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Gospel Way of Jesus Christ is, you could say, essentially, deprogramming from the spell of the evil one!

2 Corinthians 4:3-5. "…And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.” Even if you sit in a pew regularly, might the word “unbeliever” apply to you?

So it behooves many - who will doubtless accuse this commenter of being a "hater" or of “judging" - to "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Can’t you see for yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you — unless you actually fail the test?" 2 Corinthians 13:5. That’s Bible, not sourced in the Messenger.

Those can be tough words to hear. Where are you with that? Is where you stand on issues and who you support politically consistent with the values you claim to espouse as a Christian?

This is serious business, folks. It's time to understand that you cannot straddle the fence any longer, calling yourself a Christian while at the same time supporting the murderous anti-Christ spiritually and morally bankrupt characters seeking to “lead” the community, the USA, or the world.

Think! Think! Think! Wake up!!! I say these things with not only disappointment, but the deepest sorrow.

P.S. Christianity is not a democracy.

“Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’

and do not do what I say?”
