Ask for the Holy Spirit's Filling Continuously
This is what Jesus asked His disciples to do when He taught them how to pray (Lk 11:1-13). Paul states that we are to pray without ceasing (1 Thess 5:16-17).
The Holy Spirit speaks with power. The sheep of God in Christ hear his voice (Jn 10).
The Spirit of Christ in our heart is the word by which we speak faith into existence (Rm 10:5-17). This is the difference between the righteousness of the law of religion and faith that we speak that comes to us by the power of God's grace. This is the righteousness of faith that speaks. "Behold I have put fire in your mouth," said Jeremiah (Jer 1:9).
When we are baptized by Christ, we are baptized with the Holy Spirit and tongues of fire in order that we may communicate the things of God according to his Spirit (Ac 2:1-8). This is necessary because the natural carnal tongue is set on the fire with the fires of hell and cannot understand or communicate the things of the Spirit of God (Ja 3:5-11).
It is this filling with the Holy Spirit and the endowment of tongues of fire by which the true word may be ministered in Spirit and in truth, and that is required for all ministers of the true gospel of Christ.
..."you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." (the Spirit available to all flesh!)
It's never been about your own power, even to believe.
We have been given the Faith OF Jesus Christ as we die to self by partaking of the cross (Ga 2:20).
The Name Jesus means God does it all!
You are Holy, seated with Christ Jesus in heavenly places (Eph 2:6).
This is the New Covenant. It's a one way covenant.
Just Rest. Receive, and walk by the Spirit (Heb 3-4, Rm 8, Ga 5:16).
There are a great number of false teachers in the church today because they have not sought out, and prayed for the baptism by Christ to be filled with his truth and power! Paul warns that savage wolves would enter the church and draw the sheep away from Christ and is way (Ac 20:28-32). Paul warned the church to turn away from those having only a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof (2Tim 3:5).
The gospel of the kingdom teaches us that we can experience the life of heaven on earth: An atmosphere of love and healing. In fact this was the purpose of the Lord's Prayer (Lk 11:1-13). This is the power of the resurrection through the gospel that Paul taught in (1 Co 15), which came down to the believers on the day of Pentecost (Ac 2).
