This Too Shall Pass
This post offers some reminders of God's promises of truth and hope in this world of lies, deception, and supposedly no win situations. Psalm 37 is a favorite go to Psalm for keeping things in balance. These are only a few of the 40 verses (verses 7-11). It is good to read and to pray and meditate over all of it.
"Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord, They shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, But it shall be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."
~Psalm 37:7-11 NKJV~
Several times the psalmist states the equivalent of what Jesus repeats in the Sermon on the Mount, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." Right now there are people out there who think they are going to steal what belongs to God and instead replace it with their Satanic, dystopian nightmare. They may get away with it for awhile in "Satan's Little Season."
But it never lasts. Never has, and cannot. It belongs to God and to the meek.
Being "meek" doesn't amount to being a doormat. It amounts to full surrender of self - heart, soul, strength, and mind to God in Jesus Christ. The only way to get through this, and to be victorious on the other side of this dark night...
There is Eternal Life, and that Life is in God's Son, Jesus Christ - to Whom all authority has been given in heaven AND on earth.
